This is sure to be a spectacle! An eclectic collection of over 30 historic and rare steam engines will take part in a challenging road run around the Ironbridge Gorge on Saturday 13 May. They’ll gather for an event at Blists Hill Victorian Town the following day. For more information click here.

Associated Text: Steampunks and their friends are invited to Blists Hill Victorian Town on 1 & 2 July for our first ever Steampunk Festival. There will be a fantastic after-hours event on the Saturday evening inspired by ‘Westworld’ and ‘Wild Wild West’ when Blists Hill Victorian Town will be transformed into to a fantastical science fiction Western World. All the details are here.

We’ve got some fantastic talks, lectures and conferences lined up for our anniversary year. Highlights include a talk by Sir David Pepper, former Director of GCHQ, about how technological innovation has shaped secret intelligence and a sure to be lively talk by TV & Radio’s food historian Dr Annie Gray about Mrs Beeton’s Christmas. Keep your eyes peeled for details of these talks on the website shortly.
